Edmonton Oilers reach Stanley Cup Final

Oilers beat Stars 2-1 to advance

Edmonton now one win away from first Stanley Cup since 1990

The Edmonton Oilers are headed to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 2006 after beating the Dallas Stars 2-1 in Game 7 of the Western Conference Final on Saturday night. Leon Draisaitl scored the game-winning goal late in the third period to send the Oilers to the championship series, where they will face the Eastern Conference champion Tampa Bay Lightning.

Connor McDavid assisted on both of Edmonton's goals, and Mike Smith made 38 saves to earn the win in goal. The Oilers overcame a 1-0 deficit in the third period to rally for the victory. It is the first time the Oilers have reached the Stanley Cup Final since 1990, when they lost to the Boston Bruins in four games.

The Oilers' victory was a culmination of years of hard work and dedication. The team has been through a lot in recent years, including several disappointing playoff exits. But they never gave up, and they finally reached their goal of playing for the Stanley Cup.

The Oilers will now face a tough challenge in the Lightning, who are the defending Stanley Cup champions. But the Oilers have shown that they are a resilient team, and they will be confident that they can win their first Stanley Cup in over 30 years.
