City's 2-0 Win at Nottingham Forest Keeps Them in Second Spot in the Premier League Table

Haaland's Second-Half Strike Seals Victory for City

Notts Forest's Unbeaten Home Run Comes to an End

Manchester City continued their impressive form with a hard-fought 2-0 victory away at Nottingham Forest on Saturday. The win keeps Pep Guardiola's side firmly in second place in the Premier League standings.

The game was a tight affair for much of the first half, with both teams having chances to score. City had the better of the possession, but Forest defended resolutely and kept the visitors at bay.

The deadlock was finally broken in the 71st minute when Erling Haaland latched onto a through ball from Kevin De Bruyne and coolly slotted home. The Norwegian has now scored 10 goals in his last six Premier League appearances.

Forest pushed for an equaliser but were unable to find a way past City's defence. The visitors sealed the victory in the 81st minute when Riyad Mahrez converted a penalty after Brennan Johnson had fouled Jack Grealish in the box.

The win sees City move to within five points of leaders Arsenal, who have a game in hand. Forest, meanwhile, remain in 13th place but have now lost three of their last four matches.
